The Devon Writers Group has nearly seventy members, from all over the county. The group meets quarterly (Sept/Dec/March/June) in rural pubs for a weekday lunch: once in the South Hams, once in the north (north of the A30), and once in the centre, or vicinity of Exeter, each year. The fourth meeting is changeable: it may be a talk or a visit as opposed to a pub.
The aim is to bring together active writers to contribute ideas, news, advice, friendship and all-round good cheer. Meetings are generally arranged by email. The co-ordinator, Ian Mortimer, encourages members to raise any particular ideas or issues for discussion with him prior to each meeting.
If you are interested in attending, please contact Sarah Burton in the first instance, to be added to the Group's mailing list.
