Why am I listed on the online database of writers/translators?

All members and associates of the Society are now listed on the 'search for a writer' database, unless they have chosen not to be listed. However, no personal information is given unless the relevant visibility settings have been selected.

You can add to, edit or delete the information shown on the database by logging in to the members area (using the Member Login box to the right of the screen) and choosing 'Edit my Writer Profile/Edit my Translator Profile'.

These databases are a useful tool for writers and translators. Many publishers use them when commissioning, and some members pass on work that they do not have time for, so it is worth keeping your profile up to date.

Your profile may contain a short statement of biographical information, a list of your subjects and areas of work, a photograph, and full details of your published works through a virtual 'bookshelf', which links to Amazon.co.uk.
